ENTER NOW for the Whitsunday Sailing Club heats of the Australian eSailing National Challenge Championship, which will be held on Sunday 17th May 2020. The challenge will see the best eSailors compete on the Virtual Regatta platform to decide who will become the inaugural Zhik Australian eSailing National Challenge Champion.
Entry is free and the club championship is open to current sailors within the club, with the winner being elevated to the next level, the state championship.
With many sailing clubs and regattas around the country closed, sailors have been getting their fix by competing against friends and foes on Virtual Regatta. Virtual Regatta is World Sailing’s eSailing platform and it is a fantastic way to stay in touch whilst practicing your racing tactics from your own home.
Thanks to the RYA, we have got a few key guides on getting started with eSailing:
Sailing Instructions, Notice of Race and Guidance:
- Please find Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions here.
- Please find the Zhik Australian eSailing National Challenge Guidance for Clubs here.
- It is worth clubs familiarising themselves with World Sailing Racing Rules of eSailing here.
- Please find a guide to holding private ‘custom’ races here.
Australian Sailing would like to thank our partners at Zhik for their support of the Australian eSailing National Challenge and for their ongoing support of sailing in Australia.
