Race Week Long Lunch & Wine Tasting – Sunday, August 14, Noon ’til late
The Airlie Beach Race Week Long Lunch & Wine Tasting has become one of the Festival of Sailing’s most anticipated events. Although we were unable to conduct the Long Lunch in 2021, this year we plan to make it bigger and better than ever. In 2022 the Long Lunch will be set on the balcony overlooking the race course and Pioneer Bay.
In 2020 the lunch followed an Australian theme, showcasing some of the Whitsundays’ best produce and bringing it skilfully to the plate.
The 2022 lunch will be a Pacific Island extravaganza, showcasing the various cuisines from the islands, including tropical fruits, seafoods and other delicacies. All dishes will be prepared utilising the best local produce, with a range of dishes served throughout five courses, each expertly paired with wines to suit.
All you have to do is sit back, relax, enjoy the view and indulge!
