The Whitsunday Sailing Club has one of the best protected sailing areas on the Queensland coast, with easy access from the rigging and storage facilities to the club’s dinghy harbour and launching area. Our perfect sailing conditions allow us a long season, which starts 10 February 2019 and ends 1 December 2019.
Racing is held on Sundays at 12:00pm and is for all Junior and Senior Classes. See our calendar of events, see our Off-Beach Sailing Guide for details.
Get into Racing
For those wanting to start sailing, we will be running Learn to Sail programs during the year. These include Start Sailing 1 & 2 and Better Sailing courses. Each course will run for 8 weeks during school terms, and at the end of the three courses, sailors will be ready to start racing.
Our start sailing program caters to ages 9 and up.

Off Shore Sailing
Sailing in the Whitsundays is everybody’s dream. Whitsunday Sailing Club has a range of events for offshore yachts/multihulls. In addition to weekend races around the islands, or within Pioneer Bay, WSC conducts a weekly twilight race on Wednesdays at 1630 Hrs. Even without experience, opportunities exist for casual or permanent crew.
Off Beach Sailing
Given that WSC is situated on some of the world’s best sailing waters, with flat waters and predominantly off shore South Easterly breeze, the club provides a challenging, but safe environment for both learn to sail and experienced sailors.
